Annika is a rotating BMCDB graduate student in the Zhang lab. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a minor in the Foundations of Data Science. She is interested in using organoids to build an in vitro model to study how the uterine endometrium regenerates during the menstrual cycle. Annika plans on using her Ph.D. to pursue translational research to find solutions for currently untreatable diseases. Outside of the lab, she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, cat, and new puppy, as well as reading comics.
